This wasn’t the way I ever imagined opening our garden center 20 years ago.  It was suppose to be a happy place filled with flowers and people. But this spring …..we will have a happy place filled with flowers and no people…. at least for a little while.  As of Tuesday, the governor clarified how we could open and decided curbside pickup and delivery is the way.  Most likely because people linger….its a place where you buy your plants, talk to our staff, visit with your neighbors, friends, coworkers, let you children play in our sandbox maybe you even picked up an ice cream cone at Dairy Queen to take a breather and wander among the beauty.  That goes against everything they are hoping we will do. It is the complete opposite of social distancing.  And WE LOVED IT!

So we are hoping this is short term but here is how we are planning to get our plants to you.  We will be taking online and phone orders with curbside pickup beginning April 17th.  We have an online store but it will take time to get everything loaded.  Phone orders work if you are willing to leave a number on our machine and wait for us to call you back.  Our Facebook and Instagram will be updated with other products we have.  Based on our limited experience this week, this is my current recommendation to get what you need when you want it.  Please email your orders to: prairieview2@sbcglobal.net. Your email should contain what you are looking to purchase along with a contact number. Once the order is received and we confirmed availability, we will call you back with your total purchase, take payment and arrange for a curbside pickup time.  Once you are here, you can call or text us and we will bring your order out to your car and load it.  We request that you stay in your car and don’t help our staff.  It is killing us not to have our one on one conversations with you but we must make this request for the safety of our staff and your families. We are hoping you can respect our request so that we will all be here when you are come back in to….wander the yard…smell the flowers….play in the sandbox…and have a great conversation on crazy this all was!
